Making Transcend Storejet 250 GB External Drive Bootable with XP SP2

Please let me know how to Make Transcend Storejet 250 GB External Drive Bootable with XP SP2,so that i can directly attach this drive to a dead/faulty PC & boot it with entire os & applications present on this external drive.

You can't do that for a couple of reasons ...

#1 - As a general rule of thumb, you cannot install a PC operating system from a remote location onto a hard drive which is then transferred to another PC to be booted from. The Hardware Abstraction Layer is constructed during the install process and this HAL is based on the component level and the motherboard/chipset of the system that the install is taking place on.

#2 - Unless the BIOS allows for booting from the USB port, you will never achieve any success.

If your problematic PC has a functional optical drive, you would be better using the Ultimate Boot CD which boots from the CD into its own operating system, and contains a whole range of PC diagnostic tools.

Or walk into your local Newsagent and buy a Linux Mag with one of the many Live Distro's as a Cover Disc.
