If you have deep enough pockets, only as long as it takes to buy a new phone for most people.

Android or iPhones. Now it is possible if you jailbreak the iPhone so don’t do that.

Hi,
The time it takes to clean up a smartphone from viruses depends on various factors such as the severity of the virus, the type of virus, and the number of viruses present on the device. In some cases, it may be possible to remove the virus with a simple scan that can take just a few minutes. However, in more severe cases, it may take several hours or even days to fully clean up the device.
To speed up the process, you can start by running a virus scan on your smartphone using a reliable antivirus program. You can also try uninstalling any suspicious apps that you recently installed or that have been flagged by the antivirus program. Additionally, you can clear your device’s cache and data to get rid of any temporary files that may be harboring the virus.
It’s important to note that prevention is key in protecting your smartphone from viruses. You can prevent viruses from infecting your device by installing a reliable antivirus program, avoiding downloading apps from untrusted sources, and keeping your device’s software up to date with the latest security patches.
Regards,

Few there will scan or try to fix it. All the people I read there tell you to factory reset the phone and move on.
We’re talking a few minutes, at most 10 minutes. Why would I spend any more time on this?

Doesnt take much time, a Full Checkup would taken less than 20 mins (varies from devices and storage space) on Kaspersky Full Protection. You can get this on Amazon and you will get a email verification to Install this on your device. Ive been using this and its a nice option to consider as it comes for a year with an affordable price.

Malware, short for malicious software, refers to any software specifically designed to harm or exploit computer systems. This includes viruses, worms, ransomware, and trojan horses. Malware can damage files, steal sensitive information, or disrupt computer operations.
