Man User profiles and shared printers

By jfrederi ·
I am setting up a w2k domain -- w2k server on the server and w2k pro on the workstations. i need to institute one mandatory profile for several different users, giving them access to one printer which is shared on a workstation -- not the server. the workstations also have office 2000. whenever a user logs in, most of the mandatory profile settings carry over, but the printer is not there and the office programs install on startup as if it was a new user. this happens every time a user logsin, whether they have logged in before or not. any ideas?

Man User profiles and shared printers

1. Add The Domain Users Group to the Local Power users Group On each Windows 2000 machine.
2. If you don't have a Domain Users group, then you should add them one by one.

To do the above go to start-controle panel- administrative tool- Computer management - local users and groups - power users, double click and add them from domain..

Good Luck
