    Hi,
I’m trying to create a mandatory profile,on a windowsnt4.0. But it does not seem to work. I did the following: On a win98 machine I created a profile I would like to use on other win95&98 computers. I copied the user.dat file to another userslogon folder to test
(a user I created for testing) in the user profile path I put in the following:
\\server_name\testuser(folder I created)\testuser.man(sub_folder I created within testuser)and within testuser.man sits the user.man file. Permissions all apear to be okay. But it does not read the user.man.Any suggestions? Thanks

are your try to crated a mandatroy profiles for NT or for win 95/98?
for NT the user dat files names is “NTUSER.DAT”.
To created a mandatory profiles on NT. first created a new user account and logoon as that new user, modified the interface the way you like, the logoff. Logon as admin rename the “ntuser.dat” to “NTuser.man”.

If you’re trying to create a mandatory profile for a win9x machine, then you’ve got to put the profile into the path specified in User Manager Home Directory, NOT the User Profile Path (this is only used by NT workstations).

      Hope this helps.
