manually empty temporary internet files

Does anyone know of a command to manually empty temporary internet files from the command prompt? I have tried:
del “C:\documents and settings\doej\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*”
as well as del %userprofile%\local settings\temporary Internet files\*.* with no luck. Any ideas?
