Only a domain admin can fix this, and it is done by setting policy in either an end users OU, or group OU in Windows 2000. On a Windows NT server it’s done in the user manager (or can be done in Poledit also)

      NET CONFIG SERVER /AUTODISCONNECT:-1
Run this on the client and the server. The default autodisconnect timeout is 15 minutes. This line sets the autodisconnect to 8000 years.
      Seriously!

The only caveat is that many people report that this does not always work. So, good luck!
