NET USE -- Network Share - Possible

by TSDrew In reply to Mapping USB to Parallel P ...

I have never found a great answer for this, but the LPT1 port can be redirected to communicate to a network share in most situations. You go "around your elbow to get to your thumb" but this does get printing done. Print to another machine, not "yourself". NET USE LPT1: \\PC_Name\Share_Name . Sometimes this will work if the print output is communicable with the current printer's configuration, otherwise you might investigate getting a consultant to do some special programming for your DOS app. Some HP drivers have the option for DOS support.
