I am having this problem with a windows 2000 pro desktop mapping to a drive on my NT 4.0 server. The problem being When I map to a drive using the server name I have no problem but when I reboot the desktop with the mapping I created it will not connect I have to bypass the mapping then go to My Computer and disconnect the mapping. After I do that I am able to remap but not using the server name, I have to use the server IP address then it will work fine. After rebooting again I lose the mapping and can not map by IP I have to change it back to the server name. This is only happening to one pc the rest of them are mapped by Server name and work fine. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.
