Massive Attack in concert...

OhmygodsofrickingawesomeIveneverfreakedoutsomuchinmylife!!!

It was a very good concert.

Pori Jazz... two hour drive there... got back at 2 in the morning... and I hadn't had anything to eat since midday. And it was so worth it.
It was even worth sitting through N.E.R.D that came before that.

So, live open-air concerts; what's your best experiences?

I was at the roskilde festival in 2000 when there was a number of deaths due to crushing at the Pearl Jam concert. It's linked into the above wiki.

But that duisberg tunnel should have raised some flags earlier. Don't put thousands of people to walk through a tunnel. The people at the rear will ignore warnings not to enter. It's how things "work" at festivals.

Mob mentality kicks in, and you and I both know to which place that takes us. It's not a kind, prudent, loving place.

had a really good time.

hard to say what my best experience was, but the overwhelming majority of concerts I have been to were open-air.

Maybe Spinal Tap or King Crimson.

Or maybe REO Speedwagon. Or maybe Cheryl Dilcher. Or maybe Pavlov's Dog.
