I have a problem with my laptop Which uses windows XP PRO. A blue screen appears.this is the information on the blue screen. technical information.

bad hdd?

sounds like the hdd could be shot.

could just be drivers etc..

Could also be corrupted drivers, did you add any software recently? Do any Microsoft Updates? (sometimes includes updates to IDE drivers)

at the url is also an explanation on how to do an in place upgrade (to pickup the drivers again if needed)

Also does the machine boot into safemode?
(press F8 several times just before you expect to see the windows startup screens)
