Master Browser error removing Server

by gmoody4 . Updated 24 years, 5 months ago

We have a small netowk of 6 computers. 5 where running Windows 2000 pro and 1 was running Windows 2000 Server. When they were initially setup they were setup as a member of a workgroup not a domain. The clients did not login to a domain. Due to this fact, when I took over the network I decided to remove the Windows 2000 server and replace it with another 2000 pro client in a peer to peer configuration. However, now the original 5 computers can see each other but they can’t see the new one and vice versa. They all have TCP/IP and NetBEUI installed. I can Browse the network with “Computer Near Me” and “see” all the computers but when I try to connect to the new one it says it doesn’t exist. I cannot ping the new one from any of the 5old ones and vice versa. The only additional error message I get is on the old ones there is a Master Browser conflict error ID 8003. Please help!!!
