Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor

I have a computer that is Running Win98. Mavis Beacon Typing tutor is installed and has been running fine until recently. The problem that occurs is that when I enter a suer profile and want to start a lesson the machine freezes up and I have to use Ctrl-alt-del to close the program. Anyone else had a problem that is similar. Please Help.
