What is the maximum amount of handles the can be in use at any given time on a Windows 2000 Server allowing Terminal Service Sessions? More Specifically, when you open the task manager you are able to view the number of handles running on the server. What is the maximum number allowed or how many handles represent a critical situation?

There is no answer to your question. The maximum number of handles is limited to your hardware. If you have a gig of DDR RAM and 2 1.4 Ghz processors, you will be able to achieve more handles that with only one processor. Handles is the number ofoperations occuring at one moment and that is limited only by the computer’s hardware config. Hope this helps, Jeremy
