Dear friends,
I write to ask if any one of you have had this problem with the Maxtor OneTouch II external hardrive. The problem is that having installed the Maxtor Installation startup software. I contected the external hardrive to my Shuttle PC with Win XP operating system. THe device manager states that the Maxtor is working but unfortunatly the computer does not see the drive. I have installed the driver that Maxtor suppled but I thought XP found its own driver?.
Any help in getting this drive to work would be most appreciated. I purchased this drive still in its original shrink wrap at a clearance sale. It was unopened. I appreciate it is an old drive but if I can get it to operate then ok but if not then it was not such a good buy hi hi.
