MBSA with XP workstations

By BarryVG ·
Have a network with several XP systems. The MBSA program will find about half of the systems, but unable to locate the remaining. All systems have my user administrative rights and remote access. However, unable to complete an MBSA review. Any suggestions? All systems are running XPSP2 Professional on a Win2K3 domain controller.

MBSA accepts netbios names (domain\computer - workgroup\name) and does not accept dns names (FQDN).

Have you tried using mbsacli.exe with switches - example
mbsacli.exe -fip (manual entry of ip address read from text file)

You can see available switches running mbsacli.exe /? from a CLI. Hope this helps
