MCSE and A+ Certifications

By danfer65 ·
I am planning to take certifications on both MCSE and A+. Do I need both certification? Are the CBT or books really prepares me for the exam, and where can I take the examination.

A+ is preparation for MCSE

by Adamus In reply to MCSE and A+ Certification ...

IMO A+ Certification isn't necessary if you go for MCSE, although it's a good preparation. In A+ you learn the basics of PC's and Windows, and MCSE training assumes you have that knowledge already.

The best preparations for any kind of IT Certificatino exams are test exams (Transcenders, Self-Test Software) and braindumps. Look for good braindump sites on the web, or talk to others who have done the exams.

MCSE and A+ Certifications

Yes, you absolutely need both. The A+ will help improve your knowledge and skill in computer hardware, electronics(where pc's are concerned), printers & scsi devices.
The MCSE will be more involved in the Network Hardware & NOS side of things. I personnaly have found the Exam Prep books to be very helpful along with online resources. Contact VUE.com or Prometric for taking the Exams.
