MCTS Windows Vista vs future MCTS Windows 7

By mktck ·
Hi there,

I am on my way to certify myself. I understand a desktop deployment cert is required for Enterprise Admin, I am contemplating if I should get the Vista MCTS or wait for the Win7 MCTS certification. Do you think there is a difference? Any feedback is appreciated.

So if you do the Vista one it should only be a minor thing to update to whatever the production Version of 7 ends up being called. :)

Windows 7 MCTS certification

I think it is sensible to add the MCTS Windows 7 certification (exam 70-680) to your Enterprise Administrator certification. It is available already and it counts towards your MCITP Windows Server 2008 EA certification. When you add another Windows 7 exam you will also get a MCITP Windows 7 certification. Please find an overview of the complete Windows 7 certification tracks on the following website: http://www.startel.nl/opleidingen/cursusdetails/Opleidingstrajecten%20Windows%207.pdf
