Memory dump

By rawlehouston ·
I am using XP professional but my computer now dumps its memory just at the point where I expect windows to open. What can I do to correct this? I have tied to install a new version but this is impossible since startup never happens.

You need to do a Repair Install of XP

But to do that you'll need a Microsoft Branded XP Install Disc not a System Makers Recovery Disc. But if you only have a system makers recovery Disc just drop it into the Optical Drive and boot off it and do a new clean install of Windows.

Failing that you can try something like the Ultimate Boot CD available free here to attempt to repair Windows.
