We have been using a Poweredge 1300 for the last year and a half with just 128 MB SDRAM.
I upgraded it in the last few weeks with another 256 MB stick which was unbuffered. I think from what Dell tell me that the orginal 128 MB stick is registered whereas obviously the 256 stick isn’t. Dell also told me I shouldn’t mix the two but unfortunately its too late. The server has been running fine and now I want to add another 128 stick to max out the memory. ( max – 512 Unbuffered and 1024 registered). Should I not mix them at all baring in mind that its working fine or should I remove the 128 stick and just use unbuffered memory and upgrade accordingly?
