Memory issue or Video?

By benjamin.irey ·
Trying to diagnose mobo problem: My machine won't boot up and right as I turn it on, I get a long, shrill beep followed by two short beeps. My board is an AMD NF7 v2.0, but I can't find the beep code for it online. I'm also getting no activity on my monitor.

Any suggestions or possibilities for narrowing down the source of the problem?

I found these beep codes for your MoBo:

Beep Code --- Description of Problem:
No Beeps --- Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals
One Beep --- Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine
Two Beeps --- POST/CMOS Error
One Long, One Short Beep --- Motherboard Problem
One Long Two Short Beeps --- Video Problem
One Long Three Short Beeps --- Video Problem
Three Long Beeps --- Keyboard Error
Repeated Long Beeps --- Memory Error
Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps --- CPU Overheating

So, I guess it is a video problem.
Check to make sure that the video card is seated properly in it's slot (when the system is disconnected from power, of course).
just wondering... was overclocking involved?
