I’m thinking of picking up 4 one gig sticks for a new cpu I’m building.I know of a site that has good speed at a good price. Yet I’m not sure on the memory latency speeds. THe ones Im looking at are 4-4-4-12,my question is: How does thes combonation of timings relfect in performance? Are there any techniques used in this catagory of memory, and if so how are they used to further implement system performance. I want to use this for gaming, but it needs the focus of gaming development as well. I’ll get a quad-core processor w/2 8800 GTs in SLI. What recomendations are there here for system performance. Any and all help is appreciated.
Also on another note, I want to use Vista 64 bit for DX10, what problems in this OS are presented in memory performance. I’ve heard of some people who bought memory before hand and then most of it wasn’t reconized by this new system.
