IE & some other memory slurpers

by ruby2zdy In reply to Memory leak

If you have a lot of IE windows open, eventually your computer will freeze up because IE apparently sends out tentacles to attach to pieces of memory it might want to use. There are also some programs that suck up memory. If it's frozen or really s-l-o-w, try closing all your IE windows and OE (IE is OE's mother) and any other program you think might be using extra memory (like a new program). Wait a few minutes and try a program. If it still runs slow, reboot. But it's probably too many IE windows open.
