When using MemTest86 Ver 3.5 the program froze on the second pass with the error message “unexpected interrupt – halting CPU”. On one pass the program had found 2 errors on one DDR memory module (module 0) before it froze and on another pass it found one error on both of the two modules. Incidentally, Windows Memory Diagnostic program reports many errors on both modules but mainly on module 0. I get better results when caching is turned off. The reason I’m testing the memory is because the notebook has started to crash unexpectedly (BSOD) after a prolonged period (4 days) on standby. Can anyone tell me what all of this may mean?
