Message confirmation at bios

message confirmation - The system intruded, chasis opened or tempered before, please check the system

This message appears after my computer automaically starts in the bios after trying an installation on windows XP.

Will be following replies so will be able to answer and spec questions brand new computer.

Look through your bios for security, there must be a setting for new system being installed or system securty.
What is the mainboard or maker of the computer?

Not knowing the make/model of the motherboard makes it harder to help, but in general:

Check your motherboard manual for the "Chassis Intrusion Detection" jumper. It will be a two pin connector, usually located in the back corner (next to the PCI slots on the other side of the board geographically from the keyboard connector). Short these two pins with a jumper similar to what you see on the IDE Master/Slave select and teh problem should go away.
*** Be careful you do not short a two pin fan connector, this will damage your motherboard ***
