Messages piling up in my outbox

How do I make Outlook 2000 autosend an e-mail after I have clicked the send button on the message window, instead of just leaving it in the outbox until I manually send and recieve messages?

Choose Tools -> Options...

Select the Mail Delivery tab

Check the box "Send messages immediately when connected"

Hope this helps.

I am running Outlook 2000 in Corporate Workgroup Mode, not Internet Mail Only mode. There is no "Mail Delivery Tab" in the Options dialog box.

Here are two articles dealing with your problem. Check to see if you're working off line, other wise, the first URL deals with troubleshooting the CW version. (there are no spaces in the address).

While the second article seemed to discuss my problem, the fix did not work.

If you are on-line to the Exchange server, your send button is supposed to immediately send. It is possible that your client is set up for remote use.

To check this, click Tools/Services/Delivery(tab).
In the lower window, you should see:Microsoft Exchange Transport
Microsoft Exchange Remote Transport

Make sure that the first one is highlighted, and click OK.

Good luck.
