I have a consistantly reoccurring window titled ‘messenger service’on my desktop and it comes back even when I close it. The messages in the window vary from text adverts for pornogrphic websites to what i assume are mock ‘warnings’ claiming that my system is broadcasting its IP address all over the web, and that to stop it i need to go to www.endmessenger.com. I am not terribly IT literate and so i have not visited the afore mentioned site due to fears that i may pick up more viruses in the process. Please can you give me some guidance on how to get rid of this nuisance and tell me if it can do my system any harm.
