Micros Pos not turning on

One of my Micros POS is not turning on. It does have a amber light (which normally means on standby) but when you try to turn it off or bring it back to operation mode, nothing happens. Has anyone one come across this issue. If so please advise if this can be rectified and how the system can be brought back on line.
