I’m very new to understanding Terminal services, so I’m hoping this community may have some insight as to what I need to do.
We have Windows 2003 that will host a MySQL database and a virtual image of Windows XP Home (using vwmare server). We have 10 PC’s in the office. 9 of these PC’s have software installed that connect to the MySQL database and save data into this database. The 9 employees who use these PC’s will not use remote desktop to connect to the Server. The owner of this office uses the 10th PC and will be accessing the database for reporting and will also be accessing the virtual image of XP Home. Ideally the owner would like to be able to connect from any of the 10 pc’s in the office to do what he needs to do (most likely he will only use his PC, but after hours he may use one of the other 9).
So, based on the above, how many licenses do I need to buy and which type of license should I use, per user or per device?
