We’re considering changing from Microsoft’s Client for NetWare to Novell’s Client32, but there are a lot of issues involved. The only thing MS’s client does not give us at is the ability to connect to a NetWare 5 server (with IP) using only IP.
One of the possible alternatives to going to Client32 is to use NT’s Gateway Services for Netware, but a more elegant solution might be to be able to bind Microsoft’s NetWare client to IP. I’m aware that Microsoft has sworn that they will not support this, but is anyone aware of any third party addins that would give this ability?
