Microsoft Desktop wireless Problem

by davide . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

Hello to all,
i write from italy so sorry for my english.
I have a problem from few days that I cannot find answer.
I have a PC, mobo asrock with nforce mcp61, gforce 6100, sataII etc, with amd64 5000+. All system have last drivers n firmware.
I bought a “micorosoft wireless optical desktop 1000”, it include receiver 2.1, mouse wireless 2000, and keyboard wireless multimedia.
I install before the cd with drivers, after when i plug the receiver, my OS (ms win xp pro sp2) say “uknown usb hardware”, i try the wireless set in my notebook toshiba satellite an work great, with the same OS.

So what is the problem? I plug the receiver trought USB n not with ps2 adapter. I try last drivers, i try to remove the “classic” mouse n keyboard, buy usb not understand my receiver (for what i know it not need drivers, drivers i loaded is for keyboard n mouse)

A yes, all others USB things, like wi-fi pen, memory pen, card readers works in the usb ports, so i cannot think is a usb problem.

Please help me, i dunno what doing more :((((

Thanks
