I have one Microsoft Exchange Server which is Not in a Domain in my Windows XP.
When I connect the Exchange Server by MS Outlook, it always prompt me the
“Stored User Names and Passwords”. I can select “Remember my password” to
store the password to omit the prompt.
However, if I have more than one email accounts in Exchange Server and I
create two or more profiles in MS Outlook, the “Remember my password” does
not work for multiple profiles. The “Remember my password” only store the
last saved login, not all accounts. When I switch to another profile to
login, it still prompt me the username and password despite of saved before.
For above problem, I found the following Microsoft link:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B306541&x=14&y=11
After reading the above article, I wonder to ask that the following questions.
It is found that, in “Stored User Names and Passwords”, only one account can
be stored for One Server.
That mean, I add a server “server.microsoft.com”. then I can only add or
store one account. I cannot save more than one username and password.
Also, it only store the last username and password.
The conclusion that the “Stored User name and Password” only can store ONE
user name and password for ONE server.
I am not sure it is true. Are there any experts can confirm me?
Thanks and Regards
