Microsoft File Attributes

by brad_leveridge . Updated 17 years, 10 months ago

When searching for files that haven’t been accessed in a certain time frame, let’s use over five years, for archiving purposes, my query returns many files that have a last accessed date of 12/31/1969. I know this is the earliest day a computer will recognize, but if a file was modified on 4/26/2007, why would the last accessed date be set to 12/31/1969? The attributes on these files are all set to “A”. What’s the corrolation, and how can these files be set to their REAL access date?
