Microsoft Money 2001

How can I make this program go into the next year automatically? I get to the end of the year, and it will not proceed to the next year ini sucession. Could this be a problem with the software program itself? ie: 12/31/2006 goes to 01/01/2006? shouldn’t it just go to 2007 by itself?
