Microsoft Office 2000

By rthaman72 ·
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have Microsoft Office 2000, Standard edition, installed in My PC. The problem is that when I open a file in Excel, it opens normally but I am not able to save changes done in the existing file. I am not able to "save as" another file.
Also, the icons in the tool bar does not respond to the click of the mouse. I re-installed the windows 98 as well as Office 2000. Still the problem persists. Please advice.

Have you tried "Detect and Repair"? In Excel, click Help, then Detect and Repair, select the option to restore your shortcuts.

Hope that helps,

Rita

You have described the effects that happen when a PROTECTED Excel document is opened. The author has blocked you from updating the doc.
