Microsoft Office Document Imaging

I need to use the automation of MS Office Document imaging on a Office 2003 environment but all the indication (MSDN, forums etc.) seems (to me…) to speak about something it’s not really used by anyone…Where can i find some code (at least some “effective” indication…) that i can really use “as is”?
My coinstaints are: Windows XP, Office 2003 (i would prefer a solution with an activex on a access form…).
