Microsoft Outlook 2000 cannot save passw

By cy.tusanda ·
My boss laptop running Windows 2000, a brand new one. Came with pre-installed Office 2000. He used to check his e-mail using Outlook 2000, and wants to save his password so that he will not be ask for a password whenever he check his e-mail. But everytime we check the box saying to save the password, the check mark is gone. Seems like the Outlook 2000 don't allow ask to save password. Is anybody has the same problem as mine ?

This is a common problem in Outlook. Although I have a couple of questions to get more details, I believe your answer lies in the MS Knowledgebase article number Q235864.
On the Internet, go to:
http://search.support.microsoft.com/

Enter the article number and specify a search for an article number.

Hope this helps

Also be sure he isn't skipping the Windows login with the cancel button. If you cancel this password, Windows assumes you are not the regular user and will not insert other passwords for you.
