Microsoft Outlook 2000 - Contacts

Contacts don't have an extension, as contacts themselves are stored in an information storage file. It may be they are stored on an Exchange Server (or other Email server client), in a personal folder on your workstation (or centrally located, usually a PST file).

You can open a Contact and use the FILE/SAVE AS method to store a contacts data in various file formats. Perhaps the best format for forwarding in Email a contacts information to others is to use the vCard (VCF)format and attach the VCF file to the message.

I hope I interpreted your question correctly?
