    Microsoft Outlook

    The last few days when ever I send an e-mail out through Microsoft Outlook it also sends an attachment: winmail.dat (2k). This is attaching automaticlly to all my out going mail. All my incoming mail is Okay. Any help with this would be great.

      Send in plain text or HTML format. The winmail.dat attachment is used by the rich-text format, which only Outlook supports.

      Hi !

      Winmail.dat is the file which goes to the recepient if you are using Rich Text Format as you E mail Editor.

      If You will send some attachment to any recepient who is not Using Outlook then he may not get the attachment correctly.
      It will be converted to some other file Extension.
      This is the problem with many users using Rich Text Format as E mail Editor.
      Change it to Plain Text or HTML then everything will work right.
