how to back up the e-mail messages in Microsoft Outlook before formatting the drive… and how would I restore the e-mails after I had a fresh installed Windows…. Thank you so much and more Power…

Copy the outlook .pst file and outlook .nk2 file, save to a disk or thumb drive, reformat install office, open outlook set up the profile, close outlook then rename the current outlook.pst and .nk2 to a different extension, and copy and past the .pst and nk2 to there right locations. After you have verified that your e-mails are there are working you can delete the files you renamed.

.pst is located c:\users\username\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook in windows 7

.nk2 is located c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\microsoft\outlook in windows 7

**.nk2 is the autofill example when you start typing a e-mail address it does the autofill.
