I have an irritating problem, maybe the good folks here have some ideas on how to fix it up.
I have recently installed SMS 2003.
The system will come up and I can discover all of the computers in my network. The problem comes when I try to push the client out.
It installs to servers just fine. However when it comes to workstations the system logs that it failed to connect to the admin$ share because the device does not exist on the network.
The first time discovery was ran it just read out AD and found all the machine records and tried to connect whether they were turned on or not. Now even with the machines on it still says device does not exist on the network.
So, that is my conundrum. I know I could use GP to distribute the clients but I want to figure this issue out anyway.
