Microsoft update quandary

I am trying to download the vaunted service pack 2 for microsoft office 2003.I keep getting Error Code: 0x517.I have checked and rechecked every possible facet of my system and find nothing amiss.All other updates proceeded without incident...anybody else having a similar or problem?Anybody have a solution?

Since you didn't mention your OS, the following pertains to Win XP.

Navigate to your Windows directory--locate Software Distribution and rename it to Software Distribution.old. Reboot and try the download once more.

If this fails, navigate to the following URL which has more information concerning when "You cannot install an Office 2003 service pack".
