I have an altec Lancing headset and microphone that I know works because I use my softphone on my computer. I’ve confirmed thru phone calls thru my laptop that i can hear and be heard. But, for some reason, Voice Recognition cannot hear what I’m saying. I’ve gone into Sound and Hardware and selected recording tab as Headset Mic as default, adjusted levels to 100% and even boosted the mic. I’ve even alternated mics and line in to see if that would help. NOTHING. It just doesn’t hear me when I try to set up voice recognition. The device driver is SigmTel High Definition Audio CODEC if that’s any help.
