Microsoft Visual Basic Run-Time Error ‘429’ ActiveX component can’t create

by bring it on... . Updated 14 years, 8 months ago

Hi all,

Could you please help me. I have been searching the net for days now and still nothing. I keep getting this error when ever I load up an access file. It doesn’t matter which file I open it continues to do the same error.

“Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-Time Error ‘429’
ActiveX component can’t create”

It then has 4 buttons “Continue” “End” “Debug” and “Help” you can click all of then except Continue as it is greyed out.

I have tried this on another PC and all files work fine even if this user trys it on another PC it works fine.
I have tried the following with no change:

*installing Windows Script 5.6
*Registering the appropriate .dll files
*Reinstalling Office 2003

The user has full admin rights to these files and the folder it is in.

I am running Windows XP SP2

Can anyone please help with this?
