Microsoft Word

Locked

Whenever I try to open up Microsoft Word when connected to the internet it locks on my screen and only disappears when I shut down the machine. I already reinstalled the program but I am encountering the same problem. What can I do?

You may want to disable Word being your default HTML editor in IE and give that a try…

(In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Programs tab, html editor)

Have you scanned your computer with an antivirus, malware and spyware programs?

Hi

You should not be seeing this even if it is your default HTML editor.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and click the MS-Office/MS-Word entry and repair the installation, then try again.

Also, have you run Microsoft Update to make sure your installation is fully up-to-date?
