To fix the DNS problem.
Microsoft has with the latest update caused Zone Alarm to stop your internet connection. It may also cause a third party email provider to stop working unless you disable Nortons antivirus. You can stop Zone Alarm and access the web and disable Norton to get you email nether is a good idea. But it works.
The update from MS is to stop the DNS spoofing that could let hackers redicrect users to a server they control. One work around is to remove the update MS installs KB951748.
