Hello, I have a lot of questions about migrating from an old Novell 3.x Server to an NT 4.0 Server. I have maybe 0.25% knowledge of Novell to start. I know that NT has the migrate utility that you can use to migrate Novell over to NT. Assuming that after running the Utility and the user names are transferred over, how will the programs be affected? Is it possible to migrate the programs over to the NT server? I assume that I will probably need program written specific for NT. Will I be able to specify during the migration which folders go to what partitions on NT? After performing the migration will the Novell server still be available? I don’t really want to just move everything over off of Novell in case of any major problems that might happen.
Any information and links to resources would be greatly appreciated. I have found a few articles from microsoft but nothing much concerning data and programs.
