Migration to Windows 2000

By libisi ·
I am currently operating on a Windows NT 4.0 platform, phased with the challenge of when or whether migrate to Windows 2000. Are there arcticles which would explain business, technical and strategic benefits of migrating Win2K.

Thanks

Microsoft would LOVE to explain this to you. Try http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/default.asp
which is the Windows 2000 home page. There are links to various white papers explaining all the reasons for you to upgrade. (For reasons NOT to upgrade you will have to look elsewhere...)

Windows 2000 magazine has various reviews, pro and con.
http://www.win2000mag.com/

Have fun.

It provided helpful reference from Microsft which are acceptible. However I thought I could get addtional information from techies in the field because when I am on the Microsoft I at time confuse facts and marketing or sales information.

Thanks

Try looking at back issues of Windows 2000 Magazine (formerly Windows NT Magazine). They have several times covered the topic of whether or not to upgrade to Windows 2000. Also many books on Windows 2000 Server (and the W2K Resource Kit) go over the migration process.
