Mirror Drives in Win2000 Server ????

I was wondering or just wanted to confirm somthing. We have a Win2000 server with two scsi drives we want to mirror. Now I understand I have to first convert disc 0 to a dynamic drive before I can mirror. My question is when converting to a dynamic drive does it effect any data or programs that are presently on the drive 0 ?
