MIRRORING IN WIN 2K

HOW DO i use mirroring in win 2k professional. I have used it in win 2k server. But not professional. also is stripe with parity available with win 2k professional .. as in server

Professional does not support any form of raid, only server provides that functionality. I recall that NT magazine (now 2000 magazine) published a hack for NT 4 workstation (which also did not support raid) whereby disk mirroring could be activated-this was possible because workstation and server share a lot of base code. It may be possible to do the same thing in win2k, but this would most definitely NOT be supported by Microsoft should you get into difficulties. If you want to know more, got to NT mags website and do a search. Hope this helps...

Buy a hardware RAID card and that will get you by the limitation of the OS
