Tis buggered my friend,
you will need to rerun fdisk again, select yes when it ask about fat32 file system,
restart & format the drive with /s switch

You don't even need to do that... When you format your drive, how are you starting your computer? From a floppy? CDROM? Its asking for the COMMAND interpreter because you have removed it somehow. If you have taken the disk out that you booted your computer with, this is why you get the error. You can format your drive with the /S switch, but win98 setup may have a problem with it (don't quite remember). Just leave the disk in the drive. If you are taking it out to create a startup disk..just skip that part. Take the disk out before the first reboot.

Hope this helps!

The computer is looking for the boot files. If You have a copy of the startup disk, start your computer from the floppy and at the prompt try to do a "sys c:"

hope you can get it to work!
